Walk a real meadow. Meet its creatures.

The GPS AR Safari is a free, no-install walk around a threatened field. Five shy wild creatures step out of the hedgerows in augmented reality — and the field stays in your heart, not just on a map.

What it is

A gentle 40–60 minute walk (or a quicker run, if that’s your pace) around a real, threatened meadow. At each stop a creature appears in AR; snap a selfie, collect the set, and finish the walk. It’s a way to fall in love with a field before it’s gone — because you can’t protect a field you’ve never loved.

🌿 Real fields

Start at Abbots Road Fields, with more meadows on the way.

📱 No install

Runs in the browser. No app store, no account needed to walk.

🦋 Five creatures

Each meadow hides a cast of shy creatures, redrawn as the season turns.

How to play

  1. Pick your field. Choose a meadow from the list — each has its own route and creatures.
  2. Walk to the field. The map guides you in. Allow GPS so the creatures know where you are.
  3. Meet the creatures. At each waypoint, point your camera and let the AR magic happen. Snap a selfie.
  4. Collect the set. Meet all five, finish the walk, and share your meadow.

Playing on a desktop? You can preview the walk, but the creatures need a phone with GPS and a camera.
